AFCON releases Modbus Driver version 7.58 which includes a major new feature – P-CIM Hot Redundancy support.
P-CIM Hot Redundancy mode lessens the risk of data loss by operating two servers online simultaneously, each running a copy of the same P-CIM project and each with a unique IP address. If the primary (Active) server goes down, a smooth and seamless transition to the secondary (Passive) server takes place.
The takeover is transparent - network clients are unaware of the transition and continue to work without any interference. At any given moment, either server functions as the Active server while the other fulfills the role of Passive server.
